This original serigraph by Italian artist Mario Tozzi reflects the bold, graphic language of his later career. Working with simplified forms and expressive color, Tozzi creates a portrait that feels both modern and timeless, while the metallic background catches the light and gives the composition a quiet sense of movement.

We discovered this piece through a private collector in Turin, where it had been professionally framed in Italy. The custom floating frame transforms the artwork into a sculptural object while revealing both sides of the piece. The reverse preserves its original authentication inscriptions, including a declaration from a court-appointed Art Expert of the Tribunal of Milan, certifying the serigraph as an authentic work from a limited edition of 500 numbered impressions. This example is numbered 153/500. Retaining these original markings as part of the presentation adds another layer to the work’s provenance and history - something we felt was worth preserving rather than concealing.
