Each piece begins with an original vintage Italian magazine, thoughtfully transformed into a one-of-a-kind work of art. Professionally framed in Italy, every custom frame was individually selected to complement its cover, allowing the magazine itself to become the artwork. Many of the pieces are double-sided, making the original back cover visible as well.
Coming from backgrounds in fashion and film, we've always been fascinated by the way context can completely transform how an object is experienced. A magazine can become artwork, a frame can become part of the story, and something originally created to be held in your hands can take on a new life on the wall.

The idea for this vintage magazines collection came from our friend and collaborator Nicola in Milan, whose eye for composition and appreciation of Italian design transformed these vintage publications into timeless wall pieces. Whether featuring Vogue Italia, Domus, or other iconic Italian publications, each one is entirely unique and selected by Unreturned in Italy.
